My mum asked me to post pictures from our home. Sure, I can do that. I actually like our place more and more every day. It is a bit old and run-down but very charming in its own way. I wouldn’t want to live here for the rest of my life but for a couple of months it’s just fine. Living with A is easy and agreeable, when we are both at home we cook, listen to music, watch movies and talk a lot. This week we will welcome a third roommate because there still was one more room to rent. He is a Chilean guy and he seems cool as well (we decided we would not choose someone who isn’t :)).
And I’ll tell you a secret, my monthly rent is a bit more than 100 euros. So for my whole stay here I will pay the same what I would pay for around two weeks in my apartment in le Marais, think about it!
So here’s some pics:
From outside our building looks like this. We live in the lower part, unfortunately not high up in the tower.
Life at the bus stop this morning. It is quite convenient actually that they sell food here. If one day I sleep too late, I can have my breakfast while waiting for the bus.
Today I would have had time to buy something to eat because I waited for the bus for at least 15 minutes. But when the view from the bus stop is this, I don't really mind waiting.
My favorite food here is of course fruits and vegetables. When I’m at the supermarket or see a fruit stand on the street I always want to buy a little bit of everything because there are so many varieties to try. But I don’t eat that fast so I have to choose. I took pictures of the most exotic ones from the selection that I have in the fridge today:
Then I have nectarines, my absolute favorite fruit if I had to choose one. I’m so happy I can eat nectarines even if it’s winter, in Europe the season is always too short. I also have pineapple and some very sweet mangos, those two together are perfect for a smoothie. Loving healthy eating. :)
