This weekend I took some time to walk around in the historical old town of Cartagena, like a tourist again. Even if I like the ambiance in Getsemani better, the Walled City is very pretty. I took some pictures on my way, let me know what you think! (#phototraining #awannabephotographer #tryingtotakecoolpics)
It is already April (day 100 of my Caribbean travels coming soon!!) and if the winter was hot, the spring is hotter (and what will the summer be then? Hot hot hot...). Me and everyone I know have sensed a change of climat after the Semana Santa: the sun is burning more than before, we sweat like small pigs, and even with the fens on and windows open it is getting hard to sleep. I'm not complaining, this is what I wanted right? But I'm doing my best to survive, like today I spent the day by the swimming pool at S's building in the chic Bocagrande neighbourhood. High up, with a light breeze and the possibility to drop in the pool whenever it got too hot, the heat was a lot more bearable than on the streets or on the beach. And the views are amazing! (Btw same views from her balcony as well, no I'm not jealous..) I can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon, relaxing, tanning and regaining energy for the coming week. They closed the pool at 6pm so I couldn't stay until sunset but almost.
